Emily Ratajkowski on Blurred Lines: I felt nude nudity would be ‘a little unrealistic’

The blonde bombshell from “Blurred Lines” has since parlayed her modeling career into a burgeoning acting career, but she doesn’t think she could have managed to sidestep her nude scene in the hit 2013 song.

“When I saw it, it kind of felt like, ‘Yeah, it’s just going to be there and it’s probably going to be an influence on some people,’” Ratajkowski told “CBS This Morning” in a recent interview. “I wasn’t like, ‘Oh, that was ridiculous that I did that.’”

“But also,” she added, “I wasn’t just famous; I was famously sexy.”

While appearing at this year’s Cannes Film Festival to promote her new film, “Blindspot,” Ratajkowski said she was grateful her nude scene was “taken out of context.” She said she was in a romantic moment with her co-star, which was captured on camera.

“We were doing the scene that we did at the end of the scene, and I always think that it’s important when something feels overly-posed to remind yourself of how easy it is to just have sex,” she said. “It’s a joke. It’s a ridiculous thing, and so I just remember being kind of surprised at the end of the scene that my butt was shot, that my blouse was shot, and that I had my arm out in the air.”

“So I’m pretty proud that it’s not like, at least in that context, like, ‘What a sex symbol.’”
