Having been a regular on the headlines since his split from tennis ace Victoria Azarenka in 2014, according to The Sun, he’s returning to the spotlight in 2018. He’s already at the front of most tabloids, with the info he shared with friends, after his ex Victoria shocked fans in October by filing for divorce – and they were quickly switched to disbelieving eyes when her subsequent confirmation to be pregnant with their second child.
As for the 2013 I’m a Celebrity winner, while still hot on the tennis trail, he reportedly has “fled a swanky Miami mansion to Vegas and purchased a house in Orlando where he’s been living” in preparation for his foray into reality TV. Here’s a brief profile of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here’s 21-year-old hero:
FORMERLY VICTORIA AZARENKA’S HUSBAND, BUT WHAT ABOUT HIM?
Matty famously started off the summer of 2013 by ending his six-year marriage to former world number one Victoria. He later said “I’ve broken my vows” adding, “It was really difficult… it was a rollercoaster. But you can only play tennis so long and I had to put it into perspective. I said to myself, ‘I have to take care of myself and be happy.’”
With Victoria’s single status now confirmed, the Belarusian will understandably find it difficult to move on. Indeed, early reports have suggested that Victoria has attempted to find another lover, so it looks like Matty and Victoria could be in for a big wait.

WHAT MATTED OFF WITH VICTORIA AZARENKA?
Back in 2013, Matty was attending the Australian Open with his former flame, who was in her prime at the time. Dazed reported: “The pair were [in the] stands at Rod Laver Arena, cheering one another on throughout, although Victoria wasn’t allowed to watch Matty’s compatriot Nick Kyrgios play – he was suspended because of an ‘exaggerated’ showboating performance during his match.”
There were rumours that Victoria was expecting Matty’s child at the time. “They seem to be well suited” a source claimed, and insisted it was an ‘on-off relationship’. Victoria is also renowned for starring in celebrity photoshoots, with her most recent topless shoot carried out earlier this year. Clearly Matty might not have enjoyed it.

AS FOR THE DILEMMA?
Matty would be the second person to enter the jungle, following in the footsteps of last year’s I’m a Celebrity host Scarlett Moffatt. The 24-year-old former Gogglebox star who burst onto our screens in last year’s New Year’s Special, is also said to be contemplating returning to the show.
So imagine the odd mix of fierce camp fires, unlimited drinks and raw footage of critters being thrown at us every day?
